The Scent Of Magnolias
by Katherine and Beau de Lacey
Set on a former plantation in South Carolina around 1915, this is a tale that should appeal to those of a romantic and lusty nature. The principal characters, Katherine and Beauregard, provide nearly non-stop, unrestrained sexual exertions as they fall deeply in love. It is a time when fierce fighting is taking place in Europe between the Germans and Britain and France. America is not in the war yet, but volunteers have flocked to both Britain and France to assist with ambulance duties and operating the relatively new flying machine.
Beau learns to fly in a friend’s aeroplane, but are the bonds between him and Kate too strong to allow him to go further? Then too, there are secrets to be revealed about their old-line families before they can think of marriage.
Additionally, there is the hypnotic scent of magnolias…and a magic circle of stones.
How strong can love be? What does it take to meld two souls so closely that nothing can part them? Join Beau and Kate as they find out.
I, Beauregard, wrote the story, Scent of Magnolias, with a collaborator, Katherine, and we both brought to the table a variety of experiences. I am a retired military pilot, a published poet, and a writer of short erotica; she is an accomplished horsewoman and a former Coast Guard officer. We are both professionals, accomplished technical writers, and federal government contractors. I live in the South (Virginia) currently, while she does freelance consulting. We have both traveled extensively around the world.
OK but just didn't fill me with "passion". Interesting story, well told. 3 out of 5 (Fred)
