Reviews This story meets the high expectations that I had from this writer. I read almost all of his books and it definitely is the very high average of his books. As always, well written. As always occasional revenge upon white women by poor / primitive Indigenous. I loved the situation of the opening a as legless beggar makes his white slave a mare for his transportation, and I really liked the final scene of the return of the pastoral rural life but this time with taken for granted the used of white slaves as beasts of labor or for the welfare needs of the local primitive society. 5 out of 5 (Ruthy) |
