A suffragette endures public humiliation and sexual torment for her beliefs

STORY DESCRIPTION

In an alternate version of Edwardian London, Cordelia Rutherford takes part in a violent protest to promote the cause of female suffrage, knowing it might result in a naked public lashing and imprisonment. However, since the authorities believe her behaviour is the result of her still being unmarried at 25, she is instead given to Mr Ivory the Broker, who will subject her to a strict regime of corrective bondage while he finds her a suitable husband.

To add to her shame, Mr Ivory is Black, and has carnal rights over her while she is in his power, while she is sexually inexperienced. Now she must learn to satisfy the needs of his silken black manhood and submit to his will in all things.

Meanwhile, Ivory sets Cordelia up with five potential suitors, who are tasked with both wooing and chastising her to prove they will make suitably strict husbands. Her ordeals will continue until she either consents to marry one of them or rejects them all and is returned to jail for public punishment.

She is shocked by an electric "Persuader"; displayed naked for advertising purposes; coupled with chattel girls; suffers a painful trial of her domestic cleaning abilities; experiences extreme exposure in a music hall; endures a spanking and shafting machine; runs in a girlhound stadium race; has threesome sex in a hollow bed; trots harnessed ponygirl fashion through Hyde Park, and is hunted by a suitor armed with a pain gun.

Will Cordelia be broken or hold to her cause? And can she ever find a suitable husband in such a male dominated and conservative society?
