About Gavriel Navarro with Norman Wilson: Gavriel Navarro is a Spanish-born poet, musician and artist, who grew up in Venezuela and England. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, he spent eleven years in the Amazon working as a hunter, an eco-tourist guide and apprentice of shamanic wisdom. Navarro now makes is home in Japan where he applies the lessons of his peripatetic life through film-making and transcendent poetry.
Norman Wilson spent every summer for fourteen years with a First Nation family on the Baskatong in Quebec, Canada. It was there he met his first Shaman. That interest has carried through in his graduate studies in world mythology, religion and psychology.
