| STORY DESCRIPTION "Jim, this is Margie. I stuck my private nose here and there. I found out quite a bit. Many of the maid services in San Diego recruit their maids from the poor villages in the interior of Mexico. The methods that they use closely resemble the old English press gangs that they used to recruit sailors, back when. The more upper class agencies then run the muchacha's through a kind of boot camp and then turn 'em loose on customers, until the girls get themselves knocked up by their boyfriends, who then marry the girls, or not. However, there has been a sort of consolidation in the Mexican maid operations. An outfit called Professional Cleaning and Maid Services now seems to more or less dominate the field. They get all of their maids from Mexico and they keep them in line with hoodlums. I seem to get the idea that the girls get very little money. If I get any deeper into the investigation, it's liable to get dangerous for me."

I was known as Whi' Boy, which was sufficient to identify me in that place. I'm a skilled kung-fu player, using a system that I learned from a Korean I knew only as 'Pak.' It would be easier to tell you the places that Pak wasn't wanted by the police, rather than the places where he was wanted by the police. Pak's kung-fu system, augmented by some bits and pieces from some Chinese practitioners is quick and effective, or I wouldn't be alive today. My early education was mostly obtained by stealing books from the public library [I always returned them and the Librarian even began to provide me with reading lists.] I did go to high schools, but I never really learned anything there. I eventually graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, with a degree in mathematics.
I write science fiction and erotica.
